Top tips for keeping your baby happy and healthy
We are always hearing how bad things can be good for us, and it is just the same for our babies and children.
Keeping your baby healthy will in turn make them happy which is what every parent wants isn’t it?
Here are 12 top tips for keeping your baby healthy and happy.
1. Give your baby a healthy and balanced diet that includes regular meals and eating times.
2. Keep the environment that your baby lives in as clean as you can, for example do not smoke or drink around your baby if you can help it, as these can and have been proven to have a detrimental affect on babies health and happiness.
3. Keep an eye on your babies fingernails and toenails, they are soft but they can be sharp so make sure they don’t catch themselves with them or it will leave a nasty little mark.
4. Make sure your baby sleeps. Sometimes this is easier said than done I know, but making sure your baby rests and sleeps will make them healthier.
5. Keep the environment in which they sleep eat and play clean. Wash there clothes, bed linen and toys regularly to ensure cleanliness.
6. Give your baby love, attention and time, giving love will help make your little one a happy little one.
7. Make sure your baby is dressed appropriately for the weather. Remember how they need bundling up when they go outside. Keep there heads and feet warm and wrapped up to keep infections and colds away.
8. Try to get your baby in a regular routine, including playtime, sleeping patterns and eating times. Babies are happier when they are not grouchy, tired or hungry and so will you be.
9. Ensure you safely dispose of used nappies and diapers; don’t leave them in bins or on changing tables.
10. Remember to get your baby registered with the local doctors as soon as you can and keep their vaccinations and boosters up to date to keep them protected from infections and diseases.
11. Keep your hands and your babies hands clean. Diseases and germs spread quickly by hand so remember to wash those hands.
12. Remember to have fun and interact with your little bundle of joy. Talking to your baby and playing with them on a daily basis will help keep them happy which will help keep them healthy.
