The Life of A Child in Preschool Age

After the age of 3 the children became more active participants in the morning household tasks. Maybe they won’t be able to fully wear their cloths, but they will be able to put on their socks and pants without any help. During this age you have to encourage your kid to participate in the household duties, because most of the kids try to imitate the behavior of the adults and will be more than happy to help you. You have to take advantage of that period as much as possible. For example, you can ask politely your child to hang his pajama or the towel and never forget to praise his efforts.

Don’t expect your kid to do everything perfectly and be ready to help him when there is a need. Don’t let him struggle with the shoe lace or any other hard task for too long. This can easily make your kids disappointed and frustrated. Even though the task isn’t completely done, don’t forget to encourage him and just tell him that the next time he will do better. It will greatly stimulate your child to achieve better results.

The kids at preschool age must be able to clean their teeth by themselves under your control and small help. Even though they are able to wear their cloths with minimal help, you will face another problem. Most of the children have their own opinion what they want to wear and they may even want to wear sandals during the winter. Most of them probably will have their own morning program which they want to follow and you should not be surprised by that behavior. It is driven from the desire to be independent.

If you want to go through that minor problem then you can just prepare the clothes for tomorrow before going to bed. Give you kid to choose from several different shirts and pants. It will improve his feeling of independence and if you want to make him happier you can even give him small reward for making the right choice. It will help you to be faster in the morning and you can even create some free time for a cup of coffee or better and healthier breakfast.

Try to use the power of playing to stimulate your kid to complete different tasks. For example, tell him in the playful manner – “Let’s see, can you wear your T-shirt while I count to 10”. You can also use the alphabet for that propose or just free your imagination.

You will have a lot of quarrels with the preschool kid, therefore, you should choose very carefully when you have to fight. Most likely the favorite clothes of your kid wants to wear will not be the last fashion scream, but if they are appropriate according to the weather conditions and the daily activities, then ask yourself is it worth enough to mention that his newer clothes are better.
